BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Senior Alexandra Apostu posted a win at No. 1 singles to highlight the Kennesaw State women's tennis team's 5-1 loss to UAB Sunday at the Samford Indoor Courts in Birmingham, Ala.
 
Apostu defeated Rachel Daniell, 6-0, 3-6, 10-7.
 
The Owls fell to 0-2 on the season, while the Blazers evened their mark at 1-1.
 
For the second straight day Kennesaw State competed with just two doubles teams and five individuals.
 
The Owls are off until Feb. 14 when they travel to Montgomery, Ala., to take on Alabama State at 1 p.m. (ET).
