RESULTS

Birmingham, Ala. –
On the second and final day of the Blazer Invitational, the Owls men's and women's track and field teams maintained their day one momentum into day two.

"I think it's right where we would be at the first meet," Director of Track and Field Andy Eggerth said. "I think we had some great performances in this meet, but also learned of some areas we need some work. The potential is there, but not the execution right now so we have some work to do."

Andre Dorsey broke a Kennesaw State Record in the long jump with a 7.45/24.05.50 on his last jump.

Terrell Singleton made it to the finals in the 60m hurdles and ran an 8.34 to place seventh.

The Morris siblings had a great day in Birmingham as both of them set new personal records in their respective events. Heather Morris ran a personal best in the 3000m with a time of 10:19.89. Mathew Morris set a personal record in the pole vault with a height of 4.70/15-05.00.

Alicia Whittle and Hannah Wood competed in the 60m finals on Saturday. Whittle ran a time of 7.58 and Wood finished right behind her with a time of 7.59.

Sydney Williams got off to a strong start in the 800m with a time of 2:18.68.

The next meet for the track and field teams is the Hilton Garden Invitational & CE in Winston Salem, NC on Friday, January 31 at the same track as the 2014 Indoor Atlantic Sun Championship.
