GREENVILLE, S.C. – For the second day in a row, the Kennesaw State women's golf team turned in a season-best performance, posting a 9-over par 297 en route to placing ninth at the 16-team Lady Paladin Invitational that concluded Sunday at the par-72, 6,266-yard Furman University Golf Course in Greenville, S.C.

The Owls, led by junior Ines Lescudier (Marseille, France / Tulane), finished the 54-hole event with a 37-over par total of 901 after recording rounds of 306-298-297. Wisconsin posted a final-round 7-under par 281 to capture the team title with a 1-over par score of 865. The Badgers recorded a two-stroke win over Clemson (867).

Lescudier, the reigning Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Year and the first Owls player to finish a tournament under par this season, tied for the low round of the day on Sunday. She posted a 4-under par 68 to tie for sixth place with a 1-under par 215, six strokes behind Clemson's Ashlan Ramsey who captured individual medalist honors with a 7-under par 209.

Lescudier's round was highlighted by a hole-in-one on the par-3, 164-yard 14th hole in which she used a four hybrid for her first career ace. It also marked the first hole-in-one in a competitive round by a Kennesaw State player during the six-year tenure of head coach Rhyll Brinsmead.

"Ines' round today was truly impressive. Not only did she record her first career hole-in-one, she also used that momentum to make three straight birdies," Brinsmead said. "To finish sixth in this event and record the low round of the tournament demonstrates she is one of the best players in the nation."

Junior Kaew Preamchuen (Chachoengsao, Thailand / Datdaruni School) , also turned a solid tournament, recording a final-round 1-over par 73 to finish at 3-over par 219 and tie for 12th place.

Freshman Dulcie Sverdloff (Southend-on-Sea, Essex / Seevic College) just missed recording her first career Top 20 finish as she tied for 21st. Sverdloff carded a closing-round 3-over par 75 to finish with an 8-over par total of 224.

"I am very excited about Kaew and Dulcie's play. Kaew fought back today after a bad start and Dulcie just gets better every round she plays,: Brinsmead said. "This is truly a gifted group and we will achieve great things this year."

Sophomore #Brittany Jarrett (Tift, Ga. / Tift County HS) turned in her third straight 9-over par 81 to finish the tournament tied for 80th.
