Women’s Tennis Falls to No. 50 Arkansas, 7-0

ATHENS, Ga. – The Kennesaw State women’s tennis team fell 7-0 to No. 50 Arkansas in a neutral site match on Sunday, April 7 at Bishop Park.
 
The Owls drop to 8-10 on the season, while the Razorbacks improve to 11-12.
 
In singles play senior Therese Lagerkvist, sophomore Tamara Plocher and freshman Virginie Stein each forced their opponents to a third set, but would be unable to earn the win for the Owls.
 
Lagerkvist battled Brittany Huxley on court four before falling 3-6, 6-1, 6-1, while Plocher came back from a one-set deficit, but would drop a 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 decision to Segou Jonker on court five. Stein took the opening set against Yang Pang at No. 1 singles, but dropped the match 4-6, 6-3, 10-6.    
 
Kennesaw State wraps regular season play next weekend, as the Owls host USC Upstate on Friday, April 12 at 10 a.m. (ET), followed by East Tennessee State on Saturday, April 13 at 2 p.m. Both matches will be played at the Fair Oaks Tennis Center in Marietta, Ga.
