MATCH NOTES
KENNESAW, Ga. – After earning its first Atlantic Sun Conference win of the season, the Kennesaw State men’s team will look to notch its second-straight conference win as the Owls travel to Macon, Ga., for a match against Mercer at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center. First serve is set for 2 p.m. (ET).
KSU (4-12, 1-4 A-Sun) split a pair of matches last week, falling at Lipscomb, 6-1, on Thursday, March 28, before posting a 6-1 win over Northern Kentucky on Saturday, March 30.
Freshman
Maksim Yorsh tallied the lone Owl point against the Bison with a 6-2, 7-6 win over David Salazar at No. 2 singles. Kennesaw State then recorded a victory over NKU in the first-ever meeting between the two programs as the Owls captured the doubles point and then won five out of the six matches in singles action. Yorsh continued his strong play with a 6-4, 6-4 over Pierce Kohls at No. 2 singles, while also teaming with senior
Gianni Kubin to defeat Christopher Angulo and Andre Correa, 8-4, at No. 2 doubles.

Louis Theodor own a 7-9 record at No. 1 doubles for KSU.
Mercer (4-12, 2-3 A-Sun) is 3-3 in their last six matches, including a pair of 4-3 conference wins over Florida Gulf Coast and Northern Kentucky. The Bears are coming off of a 4-0 at Lipscomb on Saturday.
The Bears doubles squads have put up a 3-6 record in conference matches this season, while Arsav Mohanty has led MU in singles play, winning three out of his last four matches including a big win over FGCU at the No. 6 singles spot to clinch the team victory.
The Owls will wrap regular season play next weekend, as they host USC Upstate on Friday, April 12, followed by East Tennessee State on Saturday, April 13. Both matches will be played at the Fair Oaks Tennis Center in Marietta, Ga.
