THE SERIES:
The Kennesaw State baseball team returns to Atlantic Sun Conference action this weekend as the Owls head to North Florida for a three-game series against the Ospreys.
The Owls picked up win number 20 on the year in their last outing; defeating Georgia Southern on the road to kick off what will be an eight-game road trip with a 20-19 overall record. The Ospreys are one of the hottest teams in the A-Sun with a 27-11 overall record and are 20-6 on their home turf.
The three-game series will begin on Friday, April 19 at 6 p.m. ET with Saturday and Sunday’s games each slated for a 1 p.m. ET start time.

THE OPPONENT
North Florida has been one of the top teams in the A-Sun as of late, boasting a 27-11 record and a 20-6 mark on its home diamond.
Joe Wielbruda leads the team with his .368 batting average as the Ospreys are hitting a combined .325 as a whole, one of the highest team averages in the league while starting pitcher Michael Renner now holds a 1.30 ERA and is 6-0 on the year.
THE SERIES
The Owls have dominated the series over North Florida, holding a 15-3 overall record including winning the last six games over the Ospreys. KSU has also never lost a series to UNF since joining the NCAA Division I ranks.
LAST OUTING
The Kennesaw State baseball team picked up win number 20 of the season as well as earning the season sweep over rival Georgia Southern on Wednesday night, taking the 8-3 win on the road to snap a three-game losing skid at J.I. Clements Stadium.
The Owls racked up 12 hits, nine alone from the first four batters in the lineup, while moving to 20-19 on the year and dropping the Eagles to 21-16, extending GSU’s losing streak to four games.
Andy Almonte (Moca, Puerto Rico/Gordon College) finished the game with three hits and four runs scored while
Peyton Hart (Sandy Cross, Ga./Franklin County HS) went 2-for-3 with a pair of sacrifice bunts.
Bo Way (Brunswick, Ga./Glynn Academy) and
Chris McGowan (Lawrenceville, Ga./Collins Hill HS) each earned two hits as well, McGowan knocking a double and Way stealing a base and driving in two runs during the win.
Relief pitcher
Kevin McCoy (Gainesville, Fla./Andrew College) earned his first win of the season, tossing three innings facing the minimum and striking out five, tying a season high in strikeouts.
NEXT UP
The Owls will remain on the road for four more games after the series at UNF, starting on Tuesday, April 23 at Western Carolina followed by a weekend series at East Tennessee State.
