HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Kennesaw State men’s tennis team picked up its first Atlantic Sun Conference win of the season as the Owls rolled past Northern Kentucky, 6-1, in the first-ever meeting between the two programs on Saturday, March 30 at the Yeager Tennis Complex.
“I was very pleased with our effort today,” said Head Coach T.J. Greggs. “We were able to play excellent doubles and we kept the pressure on by racing out to leads in five of six singles matches. I am looking forward to next weekend against Mercer and bringing this same energy.”
KSU improves to 4-12 on the season and 1-4 in the A-Sun, while NKU falls to 3-13 and 0-5 in the league.
The Owls jumped on the Norse early, taking all three doubles matches for a 1-0 lead. Freshman
Tobi Menhofer and sophomore
Louis Theodor continued their strong play at No. 1 doubles, posting an 8-3 win over Guillaume Berman and Pierce Kohls for the duo’s team-leading seventh doubles win of the year, while freshman

Gianni Kubin defeated Christopher Angulo and Andre Correa, 8-4 on court two. Sophomore Alexander Pena and senior
Gokalp Ozdemir wrapped up the doubles action with an 8-3 victory over Balint Zsidai and Jody Maginley at No. 3 doubles.
Northern Kentucky opened singles play with a win at court one to even the match, but the Owls would respond by earning wins at the five remaining singles matches.
