MARIETTA, Ga. – The Kennesaw State women’s tennis team dropped a close 4-3 decision to Stetson on Friday, March 22 at the Fair Oaks Tennis Center.
The Owls fall to 5-8 on the season and 0-2 in the Atlantic Sun, while the Hatters improve to 8-5 and 3-0 in league play.
KSU earned its third doubles point of the season as senior

Blaire LaSure tallied a win by default to open the match. The Owls then clinched the 1-0 lead with an 8-4 victory from junior
Alexandra Apostu and sophomore
Jana Hueckinghaus over Andrea Crespo and Sara Lazarevic at No. 1 doubles.
Kennesaw State built a 2-0 lead after Lagerkvist posted a 6-2, 1-0 win over Lindsey Cable, who retired due to injury.
Stetson then rallied to register four-straight singles victories on courts two, three, five and one to secure the win.
Freshman
Isabela Castro rallied for a 5-7, 7-6, 6-0 win over Eveline Lepinay at No. 6 singles to push the final score to 4-3.
KSU continues its home stand with a 10 a.m. (ET) against Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday, March 23 at the Fair Oaks Tennis Center.
