Theodor, Pena Win Singles Matches in 5-2 Setback to Green Bay

DELAND, Fla. – Sophomores Louis Theodor and Alexander Pena notched singles wins as the Kennesaw State men’s tennis team fell to Green Bay, 5-2, in a neutral site match on Sunday, March 17, at the Mandy Stoll Tennis Center on the campus of Stetson.
 
Kennesaw State moves to 3-9 on the season, while the Phoenix improves to 9-5.
 
Pena earned a 6-3, 6-2 win over Joey Leto at No. 6 singles, while Theodor posted a 6-4, 6-4 victory against Howard Scott on court four for the Owls.
 
Freshman Tobi Menhofer forced his No. 1 singles match to three sets, but eventually fell 5-7, 6-1, 1-0 (10-2) to Erik Finkenbrink.
 
Kennesaw State hosts a pair of Atlantic Sun matches next weekend, facing off against Stetson on Friday, March 22 at 3 p.m. (ET), followed by a 2 p.m. match against Florida Gulf Coast. Both matches will be held at the Fair Oaks Tennis Center in Marietta, Ga.
