SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Kennesaw State women’s tennis team (0-4) fell to an experienced Armstrong Atlantic (2-0) team, 7-0, on Friday at Bacon Park.
 
After dropping the doubles point, the Owls looked to rebound in the singles action. The Pirates proved tough, however, earning straight-set victories in four of the six singles matches. Sophomore Virginie Stein (Gevelsberg, Germany / Gymnasium Gevelsberg) and freshman Isabela Castro (Brazil/ Santa Doroteia) each took their opponents to a third and decisive set, but would come up short in the end.
 
Stein dropped a 4-6, 6-2, 12-10 decision to Barbora Krtickova at No. 1 singles, while Castro fell 3-6, 6-4, 10-6 to Natasha Vukovic on court six.
 
The Owls look to rebound when they head to Statesboro, Ga., for a 10 a.m. ET match against Georgia Southern.
