Kristina Wells (Douglasville, Ga./Douglas County HS) once again led the black and gold with a 14-point outing while freshman Chelsea Mason (Bellevue, Neb./Bellevue West HS) finished up with 12 and senior Ashley Holliday (Greenville, S.C./J.L. Mann Academy) chipped in 10.

The Owls, who came into the game averaging 20 points in the paint, put up 32 from under the basket against the Spartans, nine of those coming from the senior Sametria Gideon (Madison, Ala./Bob Jones HS).

Kennedy led the Owls on the glass, coming away with a game-high nine rebounds of the 33 total for KSU. Gideon, Wells and Mason each finished up with six.

Holliday also added four assists and a pair of steals to her stat line while Wells came away with four steals, giving the guard 12 takeaways in her last three outings.
