KENNESAW, Ga. – It certainly has been a while, 20 days to be precise, but the Kennesaw State baseball team will be back at Stillwell Stadium on Tuesday night as it hosts Georgia Southern at 6 p.m.

The Owls (29-21) last home game was against Savannah State on April 25 when they thoroughly handled the Tigers by a score of 9-4. Junior Ronnie Freeman led the charge for KSU in that contest going 2-for-4 with two runs scored, a double and an RBI.

Freeman was also part of an impressive offensive display that was put on by the Owls last weekend as they spilt their two games against A-Sun leading USC Upstate.  KSU averaged over 10 runs a game in the shortened series with Freeman leading the way hitting .500 (4-for-8) with two homeruns and seven RBI. Junior Andy Almonte also hit .500 (4-for-8) in the series and he now leads Kennesaw State in batting average during A-Sun play at .378.

KSU is an impressive 8-2 in its last 10 games at the Shake, and has an all-time record of 4-8 against the Georgia Southern Eagles (28-24). The Black and Gold are currently on a three-game losing skid against GSU.

Redshirt-junior Peyton Hart has had excellent success against Georgia Southern in his career as he is 6-for-11 with three runs scored in his last three games against the Eagles.

Freshman Nathan Harsh will take the mound for the Black and Gold on Tuesday as he will look to pick up his first victory of his collegiate career. He is coming off his best performance of his young career on April 17 against Jacksonville State. He went five innings in the outing giving up only one run, while striking out five in a no-decision.
