SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Kennesaw State baseball team’s final game in its series against USC Upstate has been canceled due to rain on Sunday afternoon, and there has been no makeup date scheduled.
It will be interesting to see how this turn of events today will impact the Black and Gold’s postseason positioning. As it stands heading into the games on Sunday, KSU sits in a tie with Belmont for fourth place in the A-Sun standings, but they hold the tiebreaker over the Bruins. The Owls are only one game back of Stetson for second place, but they are also only two games up on Mercer who is on the outside looking in in terms of the playoff picture.
Kennesaw State returns to action on Tuesday, May 15 as it will host Georgia Southern at 6 p.m.
