Owls Remain in 20th at NCAA West Regional

ERIE, Colo. – The Kennesaw State women’s golf team is in 20th place after the first two rounds of the NCAA West Regional being played at the Colorado National Golf Course (par 72, 6,575 yards) in Erie, Colo. The Owls posted a 311, +23 on Friday.

Freshman Léa Charpier turned in the low round of the afternoon for the Black and Gold with a 75, +3 to remain tied for 73rd in the 125 individuals field. Charpier looks to chase down Kaew Preamchuen who is the low individual for Kennesaw State in a tie for 48th place after posting a 78, +6 on the second 18.

Molly Winnett remains tied with Charpier in 73rd place as the junior carded a 76, +4, while Ket Preamchuen and Ines Lescudier each finished at 82, +10 to end the second round of play.

Stanford (580, +4) holds a one stroke lead heading into the final round of play over LSU, with North Carolina and top-seeded UCLA tied for third at 596, +10.

Tar Heels' Catherine O'Donnell has the top spot in the individual medalist race at 139, -5. O'Donnell sits just one shot ahead of Austin Ernst of LSU, the reigning NCAA Individual Champion.
