JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Game one of the series between Kennesaw State and Jacksonville has been rescheduled due to thunderstorms in the area. The Owls will play a double header on Saturday with game one at 12 p.m. E.T., and game two following at 3:30 p.m.

The Owls (12-9, 2-1) opened conference play with a series win over in-state rival Mercer, winning two of three over the Bears. Facing a top-ranked offensive team, the Black and Gold held their rival to only six hits in the first two games.

Kennesaw also picked up a mid week victory over Presbyterian, 8-4 on Wednesday to avenge a loss to the Blue Hose they suffered last week.?

Jacksonville (10-12, 0-0 A-Sun) will enter the contest after dropping a 17-11 decision at Georgia Southern on Tuesday in Statesboro, Ga. GSU put together an eight-run third inning and sixth-run fourth inning to beat JU.

KSU owns the all-time series lead over the Dolphins with an 11-7 advantage. Falling in the last matchup between the two schools, 11-7 in extra innings, the Owls took the first two games in the series before entering their first ever A-Sun postseason.

Josh Carr will be on the mound for the squad as the senior is looking to win his fifth start in a row. Carr will faceoff against sophomore Chris Anderson in the series opener. Steve Janas will throw in game two, after his one hit outing at Mercer with Kevin Kyle wrapping up the series on Sunday.?

Two A-Sun Preseason Honorees will represent each team as Ronnie Freeman and Aaron Dobbs were voted in for KSU and Adam Brett Walker and Dan Gulbransen denote the Dolphins selections.
