AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Kennesaw State women’s golf team shot a 299, +11 in Sunday’s final round of the Insperity Lady Jaguar Intercollegiate at the Forest Hills Golf Club and placed fourth in the 14-team field.
Lea Charpier led the Owls with a 71, -1 to finish tied for eighth. The Black and Gold also counted the scores of Minami Levonowich 75, +3, Kaew Preamchuen 76, +4, and Ines Lescudier 77, +5. Ket Preamchuen posted a 79, +7.
Overall, Charpier posted the highest finish for Kennesaw. Kaew Preamchuen (76-73-76=225) finished tied for 14th, Ket Preamchuen (76-73-79=228) placed tied for 22nd, Ines Lescudier (76-77-77=230) and Minami Levonowich (77-79-75=231) rounded out the scoring for the Owls with a tied for 34th.
UTSA claimed the team title with an 880, +16 to beat our host school Augusta State (886, +22). No. 31 Purdue (887, +23) finished third, Kennesaw (900, +36) in fourth, and East Tennessee State (906, +42) made up the top five.
Paula Reto (207, -9) of Purdue claimed medalist honors after her final round of 64, -8 set the individual tournament record. Reto was the only individual to finish with a sub-par score.
