AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Kennesaw State women’s golf team advanced to fourth place after round two of the Insperity Lady Jaguar Intercollegiate with a team round of 297, +9 at the Forest Hills Golf Club.

Ket and Kaew Preamchuen led the team as they each sit tied for 14th after posting a 73, +1 in the second round. Kaew played a near flawless round with the only blemish coming on the par-three 16th-hole where she made a double bogey. Ket Preamchuen was able to fight back from her three bogeys with two birdies, including a round saving birdie on the 18-hole.

Lea Charpier is just outside the top-15 in 18th place with a 36-hole total of 150, +6. Ines Lescudier is tied for 31st at 153, +9, while Minami Levonowich is tied for 42nd at 156, +12, heading into the final round.

Kennesaw (601, +25) trails the 2010 National Champions Purdue (592, +16) by nine strokes, as the Boiler Makers sit third behind UTSA (584, +8) and host school Augusta State (588, +12).

Casey Kennedy of ASU moved into first place after round two with a 142, -2 total as she leads Purdue’s Paula Reto (143, -1) by one stoke. The two are the only competitors sub-par, with a host of individuals still in the hunt as the Preamchuen sisters trail by only seven strokes of the leader.

The Owls will tee off in round three of the Intercollegiate at 9 a.m. E.T., with a shotgun start and will be paired with Atlantic Sun foe East Tennessee State and Indiana.
