AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Kennesaw State women’s golf team are in position for another solid finish after ending round one of the Insperity Lady Jaguar Invitational in fifth place with a first round score of 304, +16.
The tournament was suspended for just over an hour this afternoon as the Forest Hill Golf Club officials postponed play due to lightning
in the area.
All four counted scores for the Black and Gold posted a 76, +4 as Ines Lescudier, Kaew Preamchuen, Ket Preamchuen and Lea Charpier all sit tied for 19th. Freshman Minami Levonwich is tied for 32nd after carding a 77, +5.
Texas San Antonio (298, +10) holds the team lead after 18-holes, with host school Augusta State (299, +11) and Purdue (299, +11) tied for second along with Indiana (303, +15) in fourth.
The Boiler Makers hold the top two spots in the individual race as Kishi Sinha (70, -2) is just in front of teammate Laura Gonzalez (72, E).
