MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C.- The Kennesaw State Owls softball squad will be heading back to Kennesaw with a 3-1 mark in the College of Charleston Classic, as their Sunday finale vs. Akron has been canceled due to inclement weather.
The Owls (6-1) took a pair of games on Friday from Marshall and Charleston Southern, and split Saturday’s action, falling to hosting College of Charleston and topping Morehead State.
Kennesaw State will play hosts for the second time in three weekends beginning this coming Friday, when they begin play in the Fourth Annual Phyllis Rafter Memorial. The Owls play five games in the event, which takes place at Twin Creeks Softball Complex and includes a total of 11 teams.
