Women and men both have two road matches this weekend

2/17/2012 2:06:00 PM

KENNESAW, Ga. - The men's and women's tennis teams both take to the road again this weekend for non-conference matchups.  The women (3-2) will take on Wofford (3-1) on Friday at the Reeves Tennis Center, followed by a Saturday contest at Presbyterian College (1-4).  The Owls men's team (3-3) will also face off with the Blue Hose (4-3) on Saturday, and then travel to Georgia Southern (1-6) on Sunday.

On the women's side, the Owls have never faced Wofford, while the Blue Hose hold a 5-3 edge in meetings between the two schools.  The Owls have won the last two meetings, however, including a 6-1 victory on the campus of Young Harris College a year ago.

As for the men, the Owls will be facing off with Presbyterian for the fourth straight year, with the teams alternating victories.  The Blue Hose took the 2009 and 2011 matchups, while the Owls triumphed in 2010.  The Owls lost their only career meeting with Georgia Southern last year at home.
