Kennesaw, Ga. – Kennesaw State University Director of Athletics Vaughn Williams has now joined the Twitter craze in an effort to connect with students and fans alike. Williams announced the creation of his new account as an effective means of communication between KSU Athletics and its followers.

“In today’s world, Twitter has become a tremendous asset between communicating with the community at large,” Williams said. “I look forward to using Twitter and social media to spread all that is great on the horizon for Kennesaw State.”

Twitter is an online social networking service that enables its users to send and read text-based posts of up to 140 characters, known as "tweets". Those with Twitter accounts can sign up as a “follower” of any KSU team to receive live updates on a computer, cell phone or PDA.  

KSU Athletics is already engulfed in the social media frenzy as all 16 of the department's varsity teams are represented on Twitter. With Williams now on-board with this trending social media, KSU is embracing the latest in technology.
