5/17/2011 7:30:43 AM

ATHENS, Ga. – Fresh off of clinching its first-ever berth in the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship, Kennesaw State's baseball team concludes its road schedule on Tuesday evening when they face the Georgia Bulldogs at Foley Field.

The Owls (30-21) conclude their five-game road trip and carry a four-game winning streak into Tuesday’s game. The Black and Gold are also looking for a season sweep of the Bulldogs. Kennesaw State defeated Georgia, 12-8, on Mar. 16 at Stillwell Stadium.

Catcher Ronnie Freeman, the A-Sun Player of the Week, leads an offense that that averaged nearly 11 per runs game and 14 hits over the three games at North Florida. Freeman homered twice and drove in nine runs against the Ospreys as he headed a foursome of Owls who hit better than .400 for the weekend.

Georgia (26-26) will start sophomore left-hander Patrick Boling (0-2, 6.38) and is fighting to get enough wins to make the NCAA field of 64 teams. The Bulldogs clinched a spot in the conference Tournament and now need a strong finish to stay above the .500 mark to garner consideration for an at-large bid should they not win the SEC Tournament.

After taking two-of-three games from Tennessee and Arkansas with a win over Georgia Tech sandwiched in between, the Bulldgos have hit a rough patch recently, losing five of their last seven games. Levi Hyams leads Georgia with a .345 batting average and is one of only two full-time players, along with Kyle Farmer at .313, batting over three-hundred this season.

First pitch between the Owls and the Bulldogs is scheduled or 5 p.m. and can be followed via live stats. The Owls conclude the regular season with a three-game series against Jacksonville beginning on Thursday at Stillwell Stadium.
