ORANGE PARK, Fla. - The Kennesaw State women's golf team are T-12th after 18-holes of the JMU Eagle Landing Invite after posting a (312, +24). The Owls are right in the thick of everyone as 13 teams are separated by only nine strokes.
Freshman
Hayley Clinning is once again leading the Owls. The New Zealand native posted a (73, +1) to finish T-6th. Sophomore
Ket Preamchuen and senior Abby Fitgerald are T-30th after they both turned in scores of (77, +5). Sophomore
Molly Winnett is T-88th carding an (85, +12). Sophomore
Chelcia Petersen was forced to withdraw from today's round stating back problems were affecting her play.
Leading the Invite is Chattanooga (296, +8) who maintains a seven-stroke lead over second place Stetson (303, +15). East Carolina (304, +16) is in third while Maryland and Florida Gulf Coast are T-4th, (305, +17).
Briana Carlson (70, -2) of FGCU is leading the individual medalist race. Carlson holds a one-stroke lead over Courtney Taylor of North Carolina Greenville and Mallory Viera of Stetson. Both competitors are tied for second after shooting (71, -1).
The Owls will tee off on Saturday at 8:40 a.m. (E.T.). The squad will be partnered with Central Arkansas and Elon for the second round at the Eagle Landing Golf Club. Live stats can be viewed at
