Game Notes
KENNESAW, Ga. - Kennesaw State's women's basketball team will try to earn its fourth Atlantic Sun Conference win of the season Monday night as it plays host to Campbell at the KSU Convocation Center. Tip-off is slated for 5 p.m.
The Lady Owls (6-14, 3-9) have not played since last Monday's defeat at the hands of USC Upstate, 69-64. A trio of Lady Owls scored in double figures last Monday, led by Angie Smith's 16. Ashley Holliday chipped in 12 points, while Chelcey Farrar matched her season-high with 10 points.
Campbell (10-12, 9-4) clinched a berth into the A-Sun Championships last time out with a, 77-64, defeat of Mercer in Macon, Ga. Monique Spry had a career-high 22 points for the Lady Camels in the victory. The Lady Camels currently hold the No. 2 seed for the A-Sun Championships, but sit just one game behind East Tennessee State for the top seed.
This is the last scheduled regular season meeting between the two schools as Atlantic Sun Conference members, as Campbell will be joining the Big South Conference next season. KSU has fared well historically against Campbell, with the Lady Owls holding a 7-3 advantage in the all-time series. Campbell's win in the last meeting between the two schools (68-58 on Jan. 8 in Buies Creek, N.C.) snapped a seven-game winning streak in the series for the Lady Owls.
