The Lady Owls (4-7) are coming off a, 72-70, loss to Texas State last Monday night at the KSU Convocation Center.  Elaina Gray had a career-high 19 points in just her second contest of the season.  Gray led four Lady Owls in double-figures in scoring as Taylor Mills netted 13, and Sametria Gideon and Chelcey Farrar each had 10.

For Mills, her efforts last Monday and in the previous two contests earned her Atlantic Sun Conference Newcomer of the Week honors.  Mills averaged 18.3 points per game last week and played in all 120 minutes of action for the Lady Owls in their three games.

KSU is 4-7 on the season, but the Lady Owls have had chances in most of their losses.  Four of KSU's losses have been by six points or less, and two have seen KSU with a chance to tie the game in the final possession of the contest.  KSU even led No. 16 North Carolina for the majority of the first half before eventually falling by 14.

Troy (1-9) enters the contest off an overtime loss at the hands of Mercer, 69-59.  The Trojans have been held to fewer than 55 points in six of their nine losses this season.  DeAngela Sword leads the Trojans with 13.8 points per game, as Troy is averaging 54.2 points per contest.

Following Wednesday night's contest, the Lady Owls will be off until Dec. 29 when they visit Alabama State.
