NORMAN, Okla. – Atlantic Sun Conference First Team Honoree Ket Preamchuen is tied for the lead at the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic after posting a 68, -4 on the Jimmie Austin Golf Course.

The performance by the junior has the Owls tied for seventh place with Texas State as both teams posted a 298, +10, which is the best round of the early 2011 season for the squad.  Preamchuen’s only blemishes came on two par-threes as she recorded bogeys on hole-six and hole-15 in a round that produced six birdies.

Sophomore Lindsay Adams posted a 76, +4 to tie for 44th while freshmen teammates Léa Charpier and Minami Levonwich each carded a 77, +5 to tie for 49th.  Sophomore Hayley Clinning is tied for 72nd after posting an 80, +8 on the 6,237-yard course.

Florida State is in first place after the Seminoles finished with three individuals tied for third as each of the trio posted a 70, -2 to lead the squad to a 284, -4 opening round. The Seminoles are the only team sub-par as the Big 12 Conference placed three teams in the top-five as Texas A&M (288, E) is second, Texas Tech (289, +1) is tied for third with New Mexico (289, +1), while host school Oklahoma sits in fifth (293, +5).

The round for the Black and Gold captured season lows as not only did the team register their best round, Preamchuen, Adams and Levonowich all recorded personal best for low 18-hole rounds of the season.

The Owls will tee off for round two on hole-one at 10 a.m. E.T., and will be paired with Texas State and Middle Tennessee.
