Owls in 16th Place As Day One Concludes

Second round suspended due to darkness, will resume at 8:30 am

VALDOSTA, Ga. - The second round of the Kinderlou Golf Challenge has been suspended due to darkness as the Kennesaw State women's golf team find themselves in 16th place heading into the final day of competition at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta, Ga.

The tournament, which is being co-hosted by the Owls and the University of Kentucky, was scheduled for 36 holes on Monday, followed by 18 holes on Tuesday, but the players will have to finish up their second rounds on Tuesday morning beginning at 8:30 a.m.

The Black and Gold find themselves in 16th place entering Tuesday's play, with each of the five Owls through either 15 or 16 holes in their second round. Freshman Ket Premchuen leads the way so far for the Owls, firing a two over-par 75 in her first round and finding herself eight over-par overall through 16 holes in the second round. Senior Jordan Lazenby and sophomore Patricia Arana both came in with a score of six over-par 79 after the first round.
