VALDOSTA, Ga. – The second round of the Kinderlou Forest Challenge, co-hosted by the women’s golf programs of Kennesaw State and University of Kentucky, was finally completed on Tuesday morning in wet conditions, as the Owls found themselves in 17th place entering the final round of play.
Senior Jordan Lazenby weathered the tough conditions, made possible by rain in the area very early Tuesday morning, finishing her last few holes of the second round and carding a five over-par 78. Freshman Ket Preamchuen leads the Owls overall, due in large part to a first round 75. Her second round 80 put her in a tie for 51st in the 90 player field entering the final round.
Overall, Kennesaw State finds themselves in 17th place entering the final 18 holes in their spring season debut with a score of 638 (+54). Team scoring is calculated by taking the best four scores of each team’s five players for each individual round.
Tulane, who came into the tournament ranked No. 35 in the country according to Golfstat, leads after two rounds with an aggregate score of 589, or five over-par.
