TULSA, Okla. – The Kennesaw State women’s golf team advanced a position Tuesday afternoon, finishing round two of the Dale McNamara Invitational in eighth place. The Owls finished round two posting a 307. Combined with Monday’s round of 305 to total 612 after 36-holes, the Owls are 20 strokes out of a top five finish in a field that consists of 5 top 50 and 11 top 100 schools.
“The team really worked hard today and I am very proud of their individual efforts,” head coach Rhyll Brinsmead said. “We struggled through holes one through five, but we really finished strong and moved up the leader board.”
Tuesday’s top performers for the Black and Gold were sophomore Ket Preamchuen and freshmen Hayley Clinning, who both finished at 76, 4-over par. Junior Patricia Arana posted a 77, 5-over par. Sophomore Molly Winnitet finished the day at 6-over par shooting a 78 and Senior Abby Fitzgerald posted a 83, 11-over par.
