KENNESAW, Ga.-- The Owls are back in action this weekend, as they are set to host the First Annual Halloween Fall Invitational at the Governors Towne Club in Acworth, Ga., on Friday, Oct. 30-31.

In addition to the Owls, the tournament will feature both Murray State and Georgia Southern.

“Georgia Southern and Murray State are two teams that are almost identical in ability to us,” Director of Tennis Operations TJ Greggs said.  “This weekend should prove to be full of exciting matches from the top flight down to the bottom.”

The Owls, who have not faced competition since participating in the Chattanooga Invitational on Oct. 2-4, are confident, well rested, and ready to go, heading into the weekend.

“We've had a few weeks off to work on some things, and our women are playing better than ever,” Greggs said.   “We hope that everyone will enjoy our first-ever tournament, and we're looking forward to finishing off our Fall Season in a positive fashion.”

Play is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday.  The conclusion of the tournament will mark the end of the Owls’ fall season.

“We are looking forward to seeing how we finish up the fall,” Head Coach Brandon Padgett said.  “We are excited to close out the fall season on a high note.”
