KENNESAW, Ga.--Sophomore Paris Leonce had a team-high seven kills, but it wasn't enough as the Kennesaw State volleyball team fell 3-0 (25-16, 25-14, 25-20) to the Wofford Terriers on Tuesday night at the KSU Convocation Center.

The Owls (1-9) led 6-3 in the first set following a Chelsey Denesha kill and an attack error by the Terriers. But after pulling within two points at 9-7, the Terriers used an 8-0 run to take a 15-9 lead. KSU would struggle the rest of the set, scoring just seven of the next 17 points to fall 25-16 in the opener.

The second set was similar to the first as with the Owls trailing 9-7, Wofford scored 12 of the next 16 points to open up a 21-11 lead. The third set was more competitive as the Owls used a 4-0 lead fueled by a pair of Selina O'Leary service aces to take an 8-4 lead. Wofford would use a 5-0 lead to take a 9-8 lead, but kills by Maja Kostic and Callie Churchwell helped the Owls stay even, 10-10. The Terriers opened up a three-point lead, but KSU made the score 14-12 on the strength of a block by Sabrita Gulley and Denesha. That would be as close as the Owls would get for the remainder of the set, as the Terriers slowly pulled away to take the final set, 25-20.

Freshman Rachael Albright had 17 assists for the Owls, while Selina O'Leary had a team-best 10 digs.

Wofford's Shanna Hughes recorded a double-double with a match-best 12 kills and 11 digs. Brittany Thompson had 18 digs to lead the Owls.
