KENNESAW, Ga.--On a night when the Kennesaw State baseball team surpassed the 10,000-mark in season attendance at Stillwell Stadium for the first time in program history, the Owls fell 12-11 in 11 innings to Jacksonville State on Tuesday night.
The Owls led 11-6 entering the eighth inning, but Jacksonville State scored five runs in the inning to tie the game. In the 11th, a passed ball brought home the winning run.
Ric Bishop connected on a three-run homer in the fourth inning, tying him for the team lead in homers with nine and giving him a team-best 47 RBIs. One inning later, Jay Morrow - playing in his final game at Stillwell Stadium, drove in a pair of runs with a single to left.
Jacob Robbins tripled in the first inning, giving him 70 hits on the season.
Kyle Clayton was the hard-luck loser for the Owls, giving up an unearned run on two hits.
KSU will return to action this Thursday and Friday wrapping up the season with a three-game series at Jacksonville. Game time Thursday is set for 6:00 p.m.
