ORLANDO, Fla. - Erin Sutton captured the championship of the 5000 Meter Run as the Owls competed at the Golden Knight Twilight Meet hosted by the University of Central Florida on Saturday.
Kennesaw State had three top five individual finishes on the day and also had a fifth place finish in the 4x400 Meter Relay.
Sutton finished the 5000 Meter Run with a time of 18:00.31, placing her ahead of teammate Britany Reilly. Reilly finished in second place with a time of 18:36.86. Lorena James finished in sixth place with a time of 21:02.94.
Sutton also had a sixth place showing in the 3000 Meter Run. Sutton had the best finish in the event for Kennesaw State, Catherine Combs finished ninth with a time of 10:53.33.
In the 400 Meter Hurdles, DeOnna Naylor finished in fifth place with a time of 1:09.07. Teammate Lakeshia Stinson finished in sixth place, just .24 seconds behind Naylor.
