KSU Performs Well at Spec Towns Invitational

ATHENS, Ga. - The Kennesaw State women's track and field team set several season best times at the Spec Towns Invitational on Saturday afternoon on the campus of the University of Georgia.

Leading the way for the Owls was freshman Stacie Anthony, who finished third in the heptathlon with 4104 points. Her score in the seven events moves her into second place in the Atlantic Sun Conference behind Jacksonville's Natasha Harvey.

Sophomore Erin Sutton continued her great spring as she finished sixth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:50.91, while freshman Britany Reilly finished 12th with a personal record time of 18:45.99.

Soibhan Wolcott (4:52.01) and Jackie Keefer (5:12.62) each set personal best times to finish ninth and 11th, respectively, in the 1,500-meter run.

Taylor Harris posted a ninth-place finish in the 100-meter dash after crossing the line in a season-best, 12.56, while Sandi Brown finished 15th in the event with a time of 12.97.

The Owls will return to the track on April 28 when they travel to Orlando, Florida to take part in the University of Central Florida Golden Knight Twilight.
