KENNESAW, Ga. - April Keasler homered twice, including a grand slam and a walk-off, run-rule blast, in the bottom of the sixth inning as Kennesaw State defeated the College of Charleston, 10-2, in the first game of the Owl Class at Bailey Park on Saturday.

The Owls senior outfielder went 4-for-4 on the day and drove in six runs to support starter Brittany Matthews, who raised her record to 3-2 on the season.

After falling behind 1-0 in the first inning, the Owls rallied for seven runs in the bottom of the third, with the big blow coming with Keasler's grand slam to right-center field.

With the score 8-2 in the sixth inning, Keasler ended the game with a two-run blast, this time to left center field, ending the game and giving the Owls their third consecutive win.

Senior's Jennifer Nolan and Megan Gant each contributed two hits in Kennesaw State's 11-hit outburst. Meanwhile, Matthews pitched a complete game, four-hitter, with seven strikeouts and four walks.

Kennesaw State will play Liberty at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday in the final game of the afternoon. The Owl Classic will conclude with three games, beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.
