JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - In preparation for the conference meet in two weeks, the Kennesaw State women's track team competed in the Niswonger Invitational hosted by East Tennessee State this past weekend.
The Owls turned in several outstanding performances, led by Britany Reilly, who finished 10th in the 3,000-meter run with a season-best time of 11:03.97. Teammate Tara Mooney also set a season-best mark of 11:32.24 to finish 12th.
Catherine Combs improved upon her best time in the 5,000-meter run by 20 seconds as she crossed the in 21st place with a time of 19:42.87.
Other performances of note included Soibhan Wolcott's 13th-place finish in the 800 meter run (2:20.34) and Jackie Keefer's 20th place showing in the mile run with a time of 5:34.69.
The Owls return to action next weekend when they return to Chapel Hill, North Carolina for the Carolina Invite.
