BALTIMORE, Md. - The Owls looked to maintain the momentum they built in the first match of the Chesapeake Challenge but were unable to do so as Kennesaw State fell 3-1 (22-30, 30-27, 23-30, 20-30) to the North Carolina A&T Aggies in the nightcap on Friday night.
Lindsey Plotner led the Owls (0-7) with 13 kills and a .545 attack percentage. Asjia Stokes also posted double-digit kills, as she finished with 10. Jenny Black paced the defense with 10 digs.
North Carolina A&T (3-2) had three players with double-digit kills, led by Arlene Mitchell with 21. Her twin sister, Darlene, posted 11 kills, while Avignon Williams finished with 10. Lauren Walker led the Aggies with 13 digs.
KSU will next play St. Francis (Pa.) on Saturday morning at 11 a.m.
