CULLOWHEE, N.C. - The Owls dropped the second match of the 2006 Catamount Clash hosted by Western Carolina University, falling to Valparaiso 3-0 (30-18, 3-19, 30-11). Kennesaw State is now 1-10 on the season.
Kennesaw State was led by Jenny Black who had four kills and three digs. The Owls had three players with three kills, Lindsey Plotner, Ashley Landers and Asjia Stokes. Kennesaw State had seven players record at least one kill.
Landers led the Owls with 1.5 blocks including one solo block. Stokes and Rachel Odom each had one block for the Owls who lost their second straight match.
The Owls struggled, but were competitive in the first two games, falling 30-18 and 30-19 before losing 30-11 in the final game.
Kennesaw State will return to the court as they take on host Western Carolina on Saturday.
