Box Score

DeLAND, Fla. - The Kennesaw State volleyball team fell in its season finale to Stetson, 3-0 (30-18, 30-25, 30-22) on Saturday afternoon at the Edmunds Center.

The Owls conclude their first season with a 1-21 overall record and a 0-9 mark in the Atlantic Sun Conference. Stetson improves to 6-17 (1-8).

KSU started out in a hole early after a Stetson ace and a Lindsey Plotner attack error gave the Hatters an early lead. The Owls responded later in the first game to put together three straight points to pull with eight at 24-16, but Stetson held one to take the game.

The Owls fought hard in the second game as the teams traded the first 16 points. But the momentum disappeared for the Owls after only securing a .140 attack percentage. Helped by a .306 percentage of their own, the Hatters went into the break with a 2-0 lead.

Game three played out just the like first team, with KSU posted its lowest attack percentage of the match. Similarly, Stetson also hit extremely poorly, but held on for the three-game sweep.
