The women’s soccer program has quickly turned into one of the most successful programs at Kennesaw State, and in the Atlantic Sun Conference, in its brief ten year history.

Ever since Kennesaw State joined the Atlantic Sun Conference in 2005 it has been one of the most consistent and dominant programs in the league. The Owls have accumulated 47 conference wins in that time span, which is an average of just less than seven league victories per season. The 47 wins are the most conference victories by any team since 2005, with in-state rival Mercer coming in second with 39 A-Sun wins. Kennesaw State has also flexed its muscles outside the conference, as well, recording 80 total victories in its past seven seasons. The 80 wins are the most victories in the conference during that time span with Jacksonville coming in second in overall wins with 67.

The Owls have also benefited from having the top women’s soccer stadium in the world as its home field as KSU Stadium opened in the spring of 2010. KSU Stadium served as the host facility for the 2011 NCAA Women’s Soccer College Cup.

The sky is the limit for the future of the women’s soccer program as they will return six starters for its 2012 campaign, including its leading scorer from the 2011 season in Katrina Frost and its leading scorer from 2010 in Alma Gardarsdottir who will return from injury.
