KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State women's tennis team battled Penn State to the very end falling 5-2 on Saturday (Mar. 7) on the Betty Siegel Courts.

Aspen Jarrett and
Elle Baker said. "Penn State was a tough team and coming back in singles put us in a really good position to potentially win the match. Every loss we learn something new to help us in the next match, so we're going to learn from these mistakes and use it against Jacksonville State next week."
PSU won the doubles point on No. 1 in a tiebreaker 7-6 (7-3).Â
Aspen Jarrett and
Tina Vlajic were tied 6-6 when the point was clinched.
PSU took four of the six singles matches to secure the win. Jarrett got the Owls on the board winning (6-2, 6-2) at No. 6 and
Sofia Pinedo finished (6-4, 6-2) at No. 5 giving the Owls their second point.
Taylor Dean fought hard at No. 1 before falling to Frederikke Svarre in the second set.
The Owls hit the road to Jacksonville, Al. taking on the Gamecocks on Wednesday (Mar 11) at 11 a.m.
