KENNESAW, Ga. - The Kennesaw State women's tennis team clinched a 4-3 win over ASA Miami for their first win of the season at the Betty Siegel Courts on Saturday (Feb. 15).

 "We did a great job again in doubles of competing at all three spots and coming out fast and aggressive," Director of Tennis
Matt Emery said. "Sofia did a great job of getting her first collegiate win against a good player. ASA is a very talented team, so this was a good win today."

The Owls picked up the doubles point over ASA Miami with a 6-1 win by
Taylor Dean and
Paola Cortez at No. 1 and a 6-2 win by
Brenna Reilly and
Elle Baker at No. 3.

 Reilly got the Owls going in singles with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Flavia Rodas at No. 6. Jarrett shut down Gwendolen Sior with a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 5 to give the Owls a 3-1 lead.
Sofia Pinedo clinched the winning point for the Owls in a third set tie breaker 7-6 (7-0) over Saara Kunakunova.

The women's tennis team will play UNC Ashville on Sunday (Mar. 1) on the Betty Siegel Courts at 1 p.m. Admission is free.
