 Was also Southern Poly's athletic facilities manager; school's all-time leader in coaching wins with 637, an average of 26.5 per season; registered 21 straight winning campaigns; led his clubs to two NAIA national tournaments, including the World Series in 1986; guided the 1986 squad to conference tournament, NAIA District 25 and Area V championships; produced eight players that were taken in the Major League Baseball Draft; 1989 Georgia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Coach of the Year.
