Tony Dibrell has been named ASUN Pitcher of the Week after dealing an impressive complete-game shutout in DeLand, Fla., in a 4-2 Friday night victory over Stetson, announced by the league office on Monday (April 17) afternoon.
Dibrell, an Alpharetta, Ga., native, picked up his first ASUN Pitcher of the Week honors by throwing his second-straight complete game outing Friday night at Stetson. The righty punched out six Hatters as he helped the Owls to their second-straight ASUN series victory. Dibrell allowed only two earned runs over nine innings and held Stetson scoreless over the final three frames. He now sits at a team-low 1.44 ERA and second among all ASUN starters.
Kennesaw State (17-19, 6-3) begins its week hosting No. 10 Auburn at Stillwell Stadium on ESPN3, before welcoming ASUN-leading Jacksonville to The Nest for an important conference weekend.
