THE STORYLINE:
· A six-run sixth inning by Stetson secured a Sunday victory over Kennesaw State in the ASUN series finale at Melching Field, taking a 10-4 final in front of 718 fans in DeLand, Fla.
· The Owls clawed back from a three-run deficit, but the Hatters' six-run sixth inning put the game out of reach.
· With the loss, Kennesaw State dropped to 17-19 overall and 6-3 in ASUN play, while Stetson improved to 16-22 overall and 6-3 in league action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
· For the third straight game, the Owls scored the first run of the ballgame when David Chabut hit an RBI single in the top of the second inning to give the visitors a 1-0 edge.
· Stetson, however, answered with a run in the bottom half and a crooked three in the bottom of the third, as Kennesaw State faced a multiple-run deficit for the first time over the weekend.
· Trailing by three, the Owls responded with back-to-back RBI singles from Corey Greeson and Austin Upshaw in the fifth, and an RBI single from Grant Williams in the sixth to claw back and deadlock the tilt at 4-4.
· Stetson replied in a difference-making six-run sixth inning, totaling four hits in the frame to take a deciding 10-4 lead which proved to be enough.
· Senior RHP Erich Stahl, who entered the ballgame in the seventh inning, allowed no runs on just two scattered hits in 2.0 scoreless frames out of the bullpen.
· Offensively, the Owls were led by Chabut (2-for-4, RBI), Williams (2-for-5, RBI), Greeson (2-for-4, RBI) and Upshaw (1-for-3, RBI), driving in all four runs and tallied seven of KSU's eight hits.

#NESTNOTES:
· Taylor Allum reached base on a fielding error in the third inning, extending his streak to 30 straight games of reaching base safely. The KSU D-I record is 36 games by Max Pentecost in 2014.
· Grant Williams totaled two hits on the afternoon, and now has tallied at least one hit in 21 of his last 22 games.
· Dating back to a season ago, the Owls have won nine of their last 10 ASUN series taking two-of-three from the Hatters.
