Previewing the Bobcats
This will be the first meeting between the Owls and Bobcats as Kennesaw State heads to Bozeman, Montana for the first time in program history. Sophomore quarterback, Chris Murray, will be returning as the starter after winning Big Sky Freshman of the Year and Freshman All-American in 2016. Murray threw for 1234 yards and 12 touchdowns in 8 games last season. Murray is a major offensive threat as he led the team in rushing in 2016 with 848 yards and 6 touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball, senior linebacker, Mac Bignell, will be returning after recording 61 total tackles, 40 solo, 21 assisted, and 10.5 tackles for loss in 2016. Montana State finished 4-7 overall in 2016 and 2-6 in conference play finishing in 9th place in the Big Sky.
