ASUN Release
KENNESAW, Ga. -
Kennesaw State women's golf senior Laura Estefenn collected her second career ASUN Conference Women's Golfer of the Week accolade after leading the Owls at the Lady Paladin Invitational earlier this week, the league announced on Thursday (Sept.29).

"Laura worked incredibly hard over the summer and since season started and this award is a nice recognition," Kennesaw State head coach Rhyll Brinsmead said. "She is determined to make her senior year her best on the course and she is definitely headed in that direction."

Estefenn  led the Owls to a tenth-place finish in the Furman University-hosted event, as she posted the low KSU round in Sunday's final round.

The Bogota, Columbia native opened the three-day tournament with a four-over par 76 before following it up with rounds one-over par 73 and even-par 72 to finish tied for 34th. Her round of 72 is tied for the KSU individual season-low round this season. For the tournament, Estefenn, rolled in eight birdies and 34 pars.

Through the first two events of the season, Estefenn owns a 76.67 stroke average in her senior campaign.

Estefenn and the Owls will return to action at the Johnie Imes Invitational, hosted by the University of Missouri on Oct. 3-4 in Columbia, Missouri at the Club at Old Hawthorne.
