8/3/2016 1:00:00 PM

KENNESAW, Ga. -- With the 2016-17 season just around the corner, KSUOwls.com is asking fans to pick their favorite memory from the past season in The Nest. The 2015-16 season was one of the most successful in KSU history that included the launch of football, conference championships for men's golf, baseball and men's indoor and outdoor track & field, and four different ASUN Coach of the Year winners.

Voting will be open until Sunday, Aug. 7. Beginning next Monday, Aug. 8, we'll roll out the Top 10 as voted on by you the fans, along with a video feature for each. Voting is open to all Owls, and you're encouraged to vote more than once!

The moments in no particular order… you pick your favorite and vote below:

Ain't No Mountain High Enough
The Kennesaw State Football team went viral last year, even before its first ever game. Video cameras were rolling when the team, during a summer workout session in the Weight Room, broke into a spontaneous singing of the song "Ain't No Mountain High Enough." The video spread quickly on social media, gathering more than 110,000 views on YouTube. It would be a sign of great things to come as KSU went on to a memorable inaugural season in 2015.

Men's Basketball Sweeps UNF and Jacksonville
Under first-year head coach Al Skinner, the men's basketball team hit its stride late in the 2015-16 season and will take some positive momentum into the 2016-17 campaign. That late-season hot streak included back-to-back home wins over the first and second place teams in the ASUN, North Florida and Jacksonville as the Owls won four of their last five games to clinch the fifth-seed in the ASUN Tournament.

Four Earn ASUN Coach of the Year Honors
Volleyball coach Keith Schunzel, men's golf coach Bryant Odom, baseball coach Mike Sansing and track & field head coach Andy Eggerth each garnered ASUN Coach of the Year honors last season. Schunzel led the Owls to a 19-9 record – the most wins in school history – a 9-5 record in the ASUN and to the team's first-ever ASUN Conference title game appearance. Odom, in his first year in The Nest, led men's golf to the AUN title. Sansing guided baseball to the conference's regular-season title as the Owls went an impressive 17-4 in ASUN play. Eggerth captured Coach of the Year honors on the men's side for both Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field after leading the men's team to conference titles in both.

Football Makes its Debut
A program two years in the making finally played its first game in 2015. It was a smashing success. Head coach Brian Bohannon's team showed little signs of being an upstart as the Owls won their inaugural game on the road, 56-16, at East Tennessee State, then came home for the first time and dumped Edward Waters, 58-7, in front of a sold-out Fifth Third Bank Stadium. KSU went 5-1 at home, selling out all six home games, and finished the season with an overall winning record. Football's success has helped trigger a record-year for The Owls Fund, and tickets for 2016 are nearly sold out as KSU sets its sights on Year 2.

Bilal Abdullah Earns All-American Honors
Senior Bilal Abdullah wrapped up one of the most successful careers in KSU Athletics history by earning First Team All-American honors in the heptathlon at the NCAA Indoor Championship this past March. Abdullah, who was also an All-American in 2015, became just the second repeat All-American in program history. The senior was a four-time ASUN Athlete of the Week this year and was the Most Outstanding Performer at the ASUN Indoor Championship as KSU won the men's title.

Baseball's Morgan Blasts Walk-Off Homer to Beat UNF
It may not have been evident at the time, but senior Brennan Morgan's ninth-inning heroics set the stage for a special baseball season at KSU. Morgan smashed a solo shot deep into the night sky at Stillwell Stadium as the Owls opened conference play with a thrilling, 2-1, walk-off win over UNF. That win by Mike Sansing's Owls was the first of a school-record 17 ASUN victories as KSU secured the conference's regular-season championship and the No. 1-seed in the conference tournament.

Viers Pitches Perfect Game for Softball
Junior pitcher Logan Viers tossed the sixth perfect game in Kennesaw State history this past February as the Owls beat Alabama A&M, 8-0. It was the program's first perfect game since 2008 and KSU's first no-hitter since 2011. Viers fanned six batters and tossed only 64 pitches in the six-inning victory that dazzled the Owls' home crowd at Baily Park.

Volleyball Goes 5-0 vs. In-State Rivals
When the volleyball team stunned Georgia Tech, 3-1, in front of a volleyball-record crowd of 1,556 at the KSU Convocation Center in September, it was a milestone win. Not only did Keith Schunzel's team secure it first win over a Power 5 school since 2012 and its first ever win over the Yellow Jackets, it allowed the Owls to go 5-0 against teams from the state of Georgia. KSU's in-state dominance also included victories over Mercer, Georgia Southern, Georgia State and Savanah State.

Griffin's Game & Lexi's Game
Two of the special moments in 2015-16 occurred on the softball field and the volleyball court, as the Owls softball team hosted the ninth annual Lexi's Day Game and volleyball hosted Griffin's Game. The softball team helped raise nearly $5,000 to donate to the Alexis Kaiser Foundation, which is used to assist local young people who suffer with a neuromuscular disease. Volleyball's inaugural Griffin's Game helped raise over $7,000 help Becky Kent and Brooks Perry and their families in their fights against cancer.

Golf Teams Enjoy ASUN Success
Champions were crowned in both men's and women's golf during the 2015-16 season. Bryant Odom's men's squad claimed the conference tournament championship and freshman Clara Aveling won the women's individual title. For the men, it was the program's second ASUN championship and clinched their seventh consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Aveling became the second Owl in as many seasons, and third overall, to win medalist honors at the ASUN women's championship.
