Austin Upshaw of the Kennesaw State baseball team was tabbed Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season, announced by the league office on Monday (April. 18) afternoon.

"It's a great honor for Austin (Upshaw) to be rewarded with a tremendous weekend. He was well deserving of the award and I am proud of his efforts," head coach
Mike Sansing said. " He not only had a big weekend offensively, but his timely hits that accounted for many RBI was a difference maker."

- Second Career Atlantic Sun Player of the Week honor
- Recorded four multi-hit games in a 4-0 week for Kennesaw State
- Opened week with 2-4, 2 RBI effort against Auburn in 6-5 victory
- Began series at USC Upstate going 4-4 with 2 RBI in 6-5 win
- Added two-hit performances in final two triumphs vs. Upstate
- Posted stat line of .667 / .750 / .733 in four games with 10 hits & 5 RBIs
The Owls (18-19, 8-1) are in the midst of a seven-game winning streak, and are off to their best nine-game start to conference play since becoming a Division I member in 2006. Kennesaw State defeated Auburn, 6-5, at Stillwell Stadium which marked the Owls' first victory over the Tigers in program history on the campus of KSU.
