KENNESAW, Ga. – Senior Alexandra Apostu (Bucharest, Romania / Ion Barbu) has been named the Atlantic Sun Conference women's tennis Player of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday (Feb. 26).

Apostu continued her impressive play last weekend as she posted a 2-0 record at No. 2 singles and teamed with two different partners to go 1-1 in doubles play. The Owls' senior recorded straight-set victories over Georgia State's Masa Grgan and Georgia Southern's Paola Garrido.

After falling to Georgia State's No. 33-ranked doubles team on Friday (Feb. 21), Apostu partnered with Jana Hueckinghaus to record an 8-6 victory over Georgia Southern's Paolo Garrido and Mary Phillips Smith on Saturday (Feb. 22).
